What Is Make.com?
Make (formerly Integromat) is a visual automation platform that lets you connect apps and services without writing code. Think of it as a flowchart builder where each shape is an app action โ “when a new row is added to Google Sheets, send a Slack message and create a HubSpot contact.”
What sets Make apart from Zapier is its visual scenario builder, which lets you see the entire automation as a diagram, handle complex branching logic, process arrays of data, and make real API calls โ all through a drag-and-drop interface.
Typeform submission triggers: HubSpot contact creation, Slack team notification, and personalized welcome email. Built in 18 minutes. Works flawlessly.
๐ณ
Stripe Payment โ Invoice + Airtable
Easy โ
New Stripe charge creates a PDF invoice (via a template), sends it to the customer, and logs the transaction to Airtable. 25 minutes to set up.
๐ง
Gmail Lead Parsing โ Google Sheets
Medium โ
Incoming emails matching specific patterns are parsed with regex, extracted data is cleaned, and rows are appended to a shared spreadsheet. Required 45 minutes and some regex knowledge.
๐ค
AI Email Reply Drafting
Medium โ
New Gmail email โ Claude API โ Draft reply saved as Gmail draft for human review. Integrating a custom API (Claude) required HTTP module configuration. Took 1 hour but works beautifully.
๐
Multi-platform Social Scheduler
Hard โ partial โ
Airtable content calendar โ auto-post to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook. Worked for LinkedIn and Facebook. Twitter/X API changes in 2026 caused issues. Required workaround via Buffer API.
๐ Overall Test Results 17 out of 20 automations worked exactly as designed. 2 required workarounds due to third-party API changes. 1 (complex multi-step data transformation) required a developer to finalize. That’s a 85% success rate for a non-developer โ excellent for a tool at this price point.
